The holiday norm!

As usual someone set off the alarms - this is pretty much routine during the school holidays - the evacuation alarm went off and the fire brigade turned up with in 5 mins. They spend the school holidays going to EVERY school for the same reason.
One of the firemen who was talking to me turned out to be one of the fantastic blokes who worked in the pouring rain to get Mark out of the car two years ago! He said he remembered it so well because it had taken so long to get him out.  It was lovely to be able to say 'thank you' to him.
P.S. Mark didn't get his car back~ they gave him a brand new Subaroo Liberty till tomorrow as they had to do extra work on the car and some oil was in the engine from one of the gaskets they replaced.
