Traditional Heater Day!

ANZAC Day is the traditional 'heaters on day' in Canberra. It marks the change to colder weather and heaters. My little gas heater has been playing up for a couple of years and decided to refuse to light. Today I was lucky enough to win the bid on an almost new and much newer model one for less than I could have fixed the old one! It was pickup only and turned out to be just 3 houses from Rebecca's place! And it works fantastically - means the big heater doesn't have to work so hard.

Getting Aquainted!!

My teddy has a new friend! Mark went to Mogo Zoo and bought me a little cockatoo to sit on my bed with my bear!

All shiny and new

I was very proud of myself today - I put in a new toilet roll holder.

Raining

It rained heaps last night and this morning the creek across the road was flooded.

HOORAY!

I think today is the last day I have to come home from work and climb through the doggy door!!! I do have a key and a spare key, but keep forgetting to take it with me when Mark has my car!

The worst bit is when Max tries to climb in with me and we get stuck.

Perfect end to a bad week

It has been an exhausting week at work with a minimum of 91/2 hours per day and a very frustrating week at home as Mark has my car!!!

All Clean!

My photo for today was going to be the baby galah going into the big cage with Bob. Unfortunately Billie went in really well after climbing all over me and have a bit of a fly (didn't get above knee height and crash landed lots) but Bob attacked him, knocked him off his branch and stood wings out ready for another attack and I had to rescue him and put him back in his own cage again. Soooooooooo instead it is Max after his bath looking pretty cute!

Ice-cream in the Kitchen!

I emptied out my pantry today and cleaned it all ~put it all back and moved my fridge!
Chris picked up my new fridge from my friend Karen's place and I cleaned it all and got it running. I now have ice-cream in it ~ I haven't had a freezer in the kitchen for nearly 20 years~ so it is very exciting!
AND WOW...... it looks and feels so big. And it has the best ice trays in it!

Universal

Mark gave me this fantastic universal remote. It took us a little while to program it but it was pretty easy and fun to use!

Relaxing

I spent the day swimming, reading and doing some craft and having a nice visit and swim with Karen.
